PROMACON CONFERENCE CHRONICLE
The maiden edition of the conference in 2009 attracted participation from the highest quarters within the public and private sector, especially from the Office of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria. President Shehu Musa Yar’adua declared open the first National Project Management Conference in Nigeria.
An event, that subsequently led to the introduction of more series, all with a yearly theme addressing a particular concern related to the practice of project management and how it can be used to maximize the potential of the country. The conference offers capacity development and training such as seminars, workshops and professional development.
Over the years, the platform has paraded the best faculties which have helped to improve capacities of corporate institutions and government on successful initiation, planning, implementation and monitoring of various projects across the boards.
The Annual National Project Management Conference remains the most attended Project Management Conference in Nigeria and West African sub-region. It is considered a platform for knowledge sharing in project management practices and other related subjects. Over the years, it has groomed itself to become a source for professional networking as attendance is known to cut across various professions.
Having successfully hosted five editions of the conference, the platform has continually received National and International recognition. This is attributed to the uniqueness of the conference, playing the role of unifying project managers irrespective of their bodies of knowledge and methodologies. The many successes which can only be attributed the support of the following organisations and individuals.
